National Energy Supplier Case Study

In an effort to minimise expensive labour intensive nuisance scale related boiler breakdown visits that are commonly assumed by the general public integral to the monthly premium maintenance contracts, National Energy Supplier invested over two million pounds in time and equipment simulating boiler operating conditions in a laboratory environment, together with field trials in particularly hard water areas of the UK employing a variety of scale preventing devices with wide ranging operating parameters. They concluded that the SUPRION provided the most effective scale inhibitor with numerous unique design features and long term operating benefits with the salient points summarized as follows:
  • Environmentally friendly zero carbon footprint
  • Fit and forget operator fool proof
  • No power supply, filters or magnets
  • No electrolysis
  • Clear open tube with no pressure loss or flow restriction
  • WRAS approved
  • Progressive standard range of models from 15 to 450mm diameter
Over 80,000 units have now been installed for protection to heat exchangers, direct fired boilers and indirect cylinders.

Ice Maker Case Study

Apart from the more obvious wide ranging situations for scale control where water is heated, Ice Makers have proved a particularly beneficial application following a trial to several banqueting machines at a high profile London Hotel many years ago. The SUPRION was subsequently adopted by FOSTER REFRIGERATOR and now fitted throughout numerous UK high street restaurant chains as an extremely cost effective and practical alternative to continuous replacement filters.
