SUPRION Scale Inhibitors
The only guaranteed protection from the potentially expensive and inconvenient essential maintenance resulting from naturally hard water is to remove the culprit minerals at source and can be effectively carried out by ion-exchange water softening; this process slightly increases the sodium concentration through the salt based regeneration and an untreated hard water supply generally recommended for drinking and external use.
If impractical and/or not wishing the addtional continuous expense of salt and water usage, there are now numerous and perhaps a confusing selection of alternative "clamp on magnet", "wrap around ultra-sonic" and "in-line" plumbing devices available to inhibit scale with no definitive report to substantiate the sometimes over enthusiastic performance claims . All will only maintain minerals in a "suspended state" which may still be evident in a soft or flaky form if the water is not constantly flowing.
The SUPRION has however been subject to extended comparison tests in some of the hardest areas of the UK and now endorsed by British Gas as an approved product for protecting Combination Boiler Heat Exchangers or installed at "point-of-entry" for more comprehensive benefits.
The 15mm JS-12E has been configured with "simple to install" compression ends, is only 135mm long, not magnetic and does not require a power supply.
